Meadow Talk on a disc of grass
The first Wiesengespräch (Meadow Talk) took place on Saturday, 3 September 2016 at 3 p.m. Steffen Klotz and Paul Klever provided the input for the discussion. About halfway into the research work of their master thesis in the section of Urban Design at the TU Berlin (Technische Universität Berlin, Germany) about the Prignitz region, they presented their interim results. They made clear how strongly the region is shaped by four areas they called “regimes” but also how they are externally controlled. They illustrated these by means of four scenarios concerning the agricultural landscape, the energy landscape, the infrastructure landscape and the natural landscape, asking the following questions:
What is the specificity of the rural?
What happens if we push the “controls” ourselves?
