Symposium “New life for shared places”

Public spaces are becoming more important in our increasingly individualised and digitalised society: we all need freely accessible spaces where encounters, exchanges and interactions of all kinds are possible.

In the symposium “New Life for Shared Places” on 05 September 2022 in Düsseldorf-Garath, concepts and ideas were discussed, on how existing open spaces in our cities can be further developed into lively places of exchange, shared experience and communication with the involvement of citizens. Participants included children and young people, researchers and teachers as well as representatives of similar projects in other cities.
