Ricardo Basbaum – percussive politics

Ricardo Basbaum is an international guest of Artists in Wittenberger Weg in Düsseldorf-Garath from 30 June to 14 July 2019. With this fellowship, the Zentrum für Peripherie is focusing on the form of processes as a relevant field of contemporary art. Basbaum lives and works in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His social sculpture Would you like to participate in an artistic experience? was part of documenta 12. In his choreografic diagramms, he explores the network of relationships between object, viewer, participant, experience, change, the society and its traumas.
